The Lao People's Democratic Republic hosted the 25th Southeast Asian Games venue project, which is the Laos Vientiane National Sports Park. It includes a main stadium for 20,000 spectators and two indoor gymnasiums that can accommodate 3,000 spectators, as well as indoor swimming pools, comprehensive tennis courts, shooting ranges and other sports venues that can hold diving competitions.

The project was awarded the first prize of Yunnan Province Excellent Engineering Design, the third prize of the 6th National Excellent Architectural Design, the first prize of the 2010 Yunnan Construction Industry Association Overseas High-quality Project, the 2011 National High-quality Project Silver Award, the Group's 2009 Annual Special Award for Scientific and Technological Progress, 2011 National Quality Engineering Silver Award Medal, "Labor Medal" of the 25th Southeast Asian Games in Laos.
