In 1998, approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the People's Republic of China, Yunnan Construction Engineering Group Corporation obtained the "Expatriate Labor Service Personnel License". In the same year, an office was set up in Vientiane, Laos to enter the Lao market.
